Whether you’re just beginning as a fresh student, navigating the heart of university life in your sophomore year, or refining your skills as a 300-level student, this is your time to excel academically, develop practical skills, and discover yourself.


University life is more than just attending classes and passing exams. It’s about building a strong foundation for your future, both academically and personally. In this message, I share insights tailored to your current level to help you make the most of this session and beyond. Remember, every step forward matters, and mistakes are simply proof that you’re trying. Let’s make this session a remarkable one!

To the 300-Level Students, by now, you should have discovered the best methods that work for you to study effectively and excel academically. You have also assessed the strengths of your grades. Those aiming for a first-class degree can already anticipate their trajectory.


At this stage, remember: university life extends beyond academic success. It is time to fully engage in extracurricular activities. Sharpen and standardise your talents, especially the skills relevant to your chosen discipline. In the real world, skills are the secret ingredient to success.

As health scientists, merely cramming theories is insufficient. You need practical skills to save lives. Prioritise skill acquisition now, as it will serve as the foundation of your future success.

To the Sophomore (200-Level) Students, welcome to the heart of university education! This is the stage where you determine the class of degree you will graduate with.

At 200 level, you still have the opportunity to significantly improve your CGPA. Work diligently in your classes, complete assignments religiously, attend all practical sessions, and go the extra mile to excel in your examinations.

While focusing on academics, don’t neglect extracurricular activities. Become an active executive member of a club, lead your class, contest for elections, or participate in sports. Also, visit the library to read books beyond your discipline. This is a golden opportunity to be intentional with your growth during this academic session.
